Skill level: Beginner+ No experience needed. Ideal if you’ve never used a sewing machine, or haven’t in years as we go through the basics at the beginning of the class.

You’ll learn

• Sewing machine basics: threading a machine, basic terminology, using different stitches, sewing curves and corners + more
• Simple fabric applique techniques
• How to use interfacing
• General sewing techniques: straight stitch, zigzag stitch, seam allowance, backstitch, pressing, unpicking + more

Included

• Base fabric, fabric scraps (from the studio selection or bring your own), letter templates, sewing machines + tools
• Wooden dowel, command clip + string to easily hang at home
• Instructions booklet (take home + make again)
• Free tea, hot chocolate, coffee + treats throughout the day
• Step-by-step teaching throughout

Good to know
Workshop times are a guide. Everyone sews at their own pace, so the class may finish a little earlier or later depending on the group. If you finish early, you’re welcome to head off.
